With warmer weather comes tank tops, shorts, bathing suits and possibly time at the lake or beach. So, it's important to take care of your skin.

If you don't regularly exfoliate, now is a good time to help renew your winter skin. First, it sheds dead skin cells and encourages the growth of new ones. Your skin will look brighter, smoother and less oily which can unclog pores and clear up acne. While it’s important to exfoliate often, avoid over-exfoliation by only lightly scrubbing your skin once a week. And, don’t forget to moisturize head-to-toe with a body butter or intensive care lotion to offset cracked skin on your elbows, feet and everywhere in between.

When going out in the sun, always remember to wear your sunscreen and even if you wear a hat, make sure to put sunscreen on your face. Think leathery textured skin, enlarged pores, dark spots, wrinkles and skin cancer development.

And now is a good time to start getting into a good routine, morning and evening. After cleansing your face in the morning, it's good to find a good moisturizer before applying your sunscreen. Natural Beauty's sunscreen is made with moisturizer so you can actually save a step. In the evening, it's a good idea to actually clean your face twice, cause being out in the sun and sweating can cause a lot more grime. Using a good cleanser is important. I like Micellar Water which pulls all the dirt, makeup and grime off your face and there's no need to rinse.

And although a hot shower feels good, it's not good for the skin. And stay well hydrated and in the shade when you can. Also, apply your sunscreen throughout the time you're in the sun. Even those that say they are waterproof, wear off.
